Young Vincents summer art classes are a blast! They run May – August in one-week sessions, and offer kids an opportunity for intensive study using a variety of mediums. Classes are designed to develop your child’s skill in watercolor, drawing, mixed media, sculpture and acrylic painting. Campers create original artwork inspired by our dynamic thematic curriculum receiving nurturing instruction from our teaching artists. Building kid’s confidence and having a great time doing it…that’s our goal!
Kids are always encouraged to use their imagination and develop their own interpretation of our themes, while gaining the tools needed to share and express their ideas.
Whether beginner or an advanced student, weekly thematic sessions offer the opportunity for all levels to advance through multiple sessions or one.
Time: 9am-3pm (8am early drop-off & 4pm late pick-up available)
Age: 6-8 & 9-13 (TEEN sessions also available) Children are divided into separate classes.
Cost: $335 per 4-day session
At this time we anticipate that camp will start late as we continue to receive updates from state and government officials and the shelter at home ordinance remains in place. Our on-location or “studio” camps will commence a bit later than the original May 26 start date, but we plan to commence camp on June 1st (session 2). We will be following safe protective guidelines including smaller class sizes and routine cleaning. In order to accommodate more families, we are pleased to announce that our camp will also be virtual all summer! Virtual Summer Fine Art Camp will begin May 26th and we are confident the virtual version of summer camp will provide weekly art enrichment as well as foster the artist spirit!
Registration is currently open for in-studio sessions 2-11. If these in-studio sessions must be canceled, here are your options: transfer to a virtual session or receive a refund for your tuition. If you decide to cancel and we are still running in-studio camp, our standard cancellation policy will still apply, see below “creating a safe space” for additional information.

If you have attended any of our camps in the past, here are a few changes we are making to maintain a safe space in the studio:
Drawing: Students develop art skills through the foundation of drawing. Children build self- confidence while learning the art of contour, gesture, proportion and perspective. Students learn to use charcoal, graphite, pastels and pen & ink. The creative possibilities are endless.
Painting: Children naturally connect to their spirit of exploration when scooping up paint with a brush! Their journey is exciting as they learn about color, design and composition. Invaluable techniques teach children to express emotion, atmosphere, texture and movement.
Mixed-Media & Sculpture: Sculpt, collage, print and more! Kids explore their creativity and learn various hand building methods to create unique sculpture. Young Vincents experiment with different materials and mediums and use their imagination for endless possibilities!
Join us on the last day of every session at 3:00pm for a community art show joining friends and family. Children’s completed projects will be on display and ready to take home the day of the show.
Experienced educators and teaching artists spark imagination, creativity and lifelong connections with art. Dedicated to arts education, our instructors guide students to learn and to develop individual artistic style.
Yes, all new projects are introduced weekly. Multiple weeks provide an opportunity for skill building and creative development.
All art supplies are provided except for a sketchbook. Children may bring a sketchbook (9”x12” spiral preferred) or one may be purchased during online registration for $15.
